The certification is good until October 16, 2014 when the land purchase option expires.
The property size is listed as 1,920 acres. The property is $10,000 to $25,000 per acre or $24,710.50 to $61,776.25 per hectare (10,000 square meters or 2.471 acres).
The property is only available for sale and not available for lease. The maximum available for purchase is listed as 1,920 acres, but the minimum available for purchase is 10 acres.
The water service provider is Trico Water Company, and the sewer service provider is the City of Dillon. Both are listed as on-site.
SCE&G is listed as the natural gas provider and is listed as available and bordering the site.
The primary electricity providers are listed as Marlboro Electric and Progress Energy. Santee Cooper is listed as the alternate electricity provider.
Telecommunications and fiber optics are available through AT&T, and cable is available through Time Warner.
The hope is that the mega site will attract an industry giant to Dillon that will generate jobs, paychecks, and increased tax revenue for the area. The Dillon County site is unique because it is the only certified industrial mega site in South Carolina with rail accessibility.
