Misty Bethea, 4th grade teacher at LES, has been selected to represent Pee Dee International Reading Association (PDIRA) as the 2010-2011 Distinguished Reading Teacher.
She, along with other regional representatives, will share their reading strengths, strategies, and ideas with other teachers at the February 2011 SCIRA Conference.
Mrs. Bethea is in her 13th year of teaching, and twelve of those years have been with Latta Elementary School.
She earned her Bachelor Degree from Francis Marion University. She also earned her Master’s Degree from Walden University in Reading and Literacy.
