A man was killed in a wreck on I-95 at the 183 southbound mile marker on Tuesday, July 5th, according to Lance Corporal Sonny Collins of the S.C. Highway Patrol.
Coroner Donnie Grimsley said the deceased man is Harold Boltz, Sr. of Pennsylvania.
The two-vehicle collision occurred about 6:15 p.m.
Collins said a 2008 Ford Fusion was traveling south on I-95.
A Chevrolet Impala, driven by a man from Hawaii, was also traveling south in the same collision.
Collins said the two vehicles made contact causing the Ford Fusion to hit the guard rail. The driver of the Ford Fusion was killed as a result of the crash, Collins said, and a passenger in the Ford Fusion was taken to the hospital in Dillon to be treated for injuries.
The driver of the Impala was not injured.
The accident is under investigation by the S.C. Highway Patrol.
