Dillon County Library System is pleased to announce the appointment of Mrs. Helen Salmon-Gilchrist to represent the public libraries on the Executive Board for Dillon County First Steps. Her service will begin on Tuesday, October 4.
Over the years Mrs. Gilchrist has successfully managed library programs that were sponsored by First Steps. This time she will take a place on the decision making board.
They are looking forward to another productive partnership, as they work together for early literacy in Dillon County.
Helen Gilchrist manages, Out-Reach Services, operates the Bookmobile and is the Cataloger for Dillon County Library System. She is an enthusiastic person, involved in many worthwhile projects at work and throughout our community. Helen received her secondary education at the Computer Processing Institute, in Bridgeport, CT.
“We have been fortunate to have her on staff at the library for the past 7 years. I am confident in her ability to do an excellent job for First Steps. We are looking forward to many more productive years,” said, Yolanda McCormick, Library Director.
