The Glove and Trowel Garden Club for more than 15 years now has sponsored the butterfly release at East Elementary School. The butterfly project allows second graders to observe first hand the life cycle of a butterfly. Students study the process from the larvae stage to the butterfly stage. Students learn a great deal about the life cycle of the butterfly.
