John Robert Turbeville, 47, died in his home Saturday, November 19, 2011. Funeral services will be held 3:00 P.M. Tuesday, November 22, 2011, in the Kannaday Funeral Home Chapel in Latta, SC with burial in Piney Grove Holiness Church Cemetery. Visitation was Monday, November 21, 2011 from 7:00 to 9:00 P.M. in Kannaday Funeral Home in Latta, SC.
Mr. Turbeville was born March 21, 1964 in Dillon, SC, the son of the late Mary Elizabeth Caulder and Carl Turbeville. He was a Pipe Fitter with Simplex – Grinnell. He enjoyed the outdoors, was an avid fisherman, and a member of the South Carolina Wildlife Association. He was of the Holiness faith.
Surviving are his wife, Toni Miller Turbeville of the home, in Latta, SC; his son, Aubrey Michael (Shelley) Godbolt of Dillon, SC; his daughter, Kimberly (James) Morris of Florence, SC, his brothers, Earl (Vera) Turbeville of Hamer, SC and Marion (Robin) Ward IV of Dillon, SC; his sister, Elizabeth (Billy) Turner of Dillon, SC; his four grandchildren, Aubreanna Godbolt, Kristopher Hunt, Brandon Gibson, and Matthew Morris. He is also survived by his step-father, Marion Hensley Ward and his mother and father-in-law, Mary Frances and Carlisle Miller. Also surviving is his faithful friend, Mr. Wrinkles.
