Leon Walter Morris, 88, died Wednesday, November 16, 2011, in McLeod Medical Center-Dillon.
Funeral services were held 2:00 P.M. Friday in Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with burial in Greenlawn Cemetery directed by Cooper Funeral Home. Visitation was 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Born in Dillon County, July 8, 1923, he was the son of the late Charlie Morris and Roxie Wilkerson Morris. He was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, and was a former Deacon.
Survivors include his wife, Christine C. Morris of Dillon; daughter, Brenda M. Harrelson of Dillon; son, Terry (Janice) Morris of Dillon; 6 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie & Roxie Morris; children, Joan Rebecca & Ronald David Morris; 5 brothers and 6 sisters.
