Demolition began on the Dilmar buildings on Main Street on Tuesday. At Monday night’s Dillon City Council meeting, local developer Allen Watts made a plea to council to save the buildings rather than demolish them. Watts said on Tuesday that this was a terrible, terrible day for Dillon.
