Services for Dorothy Garrett Hyatt will be held 3:30 p.m. Sunday at Dillon Second Baptist Church with burial in Greenlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held 7-9 p.m. Saturday in Cooper Funeral Home.
Mrs. Hyatt, 92, died Friday, March 30, 2012 at her residence.
Born in Florence, SC October 14, 1919, she was the daughter of the late James Edward Garrett and Sarah Scaffe Garrett. She was a member of Dillon Second Baptist Church, and was the widow of the late Gurley Hyatt.
Survivors include her children, Tommy (Angie) Hyatt of Fresno, CA, Frank (Linda) Vangsness of Spokane, WA, and Bill (Faye) Hyatt of Dillon; sister, Thelma Self of Lamar; brother, J.C. Garrett of Dillon; 3 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; special niece and caregiver, Nancy Cox.
Memorials may be made to Hospice Care of South Carolina.
