Archie Theodore Harrell, Jr., 66, died Friday, April 6, 2012, at his residence. Funeral services will be held Sunday, April 8, 2012, at 4:00 P.M. at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Dillon, SC, with burial in Magnolia Cemetery in Latta, SC. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Saturday, April 7, 2012 at Kannaday Funeral Home in Latta, SC.

Mr. Harrell was born May 12, 1945, in North Carolina, the son of the late Archie and Elizabeth Harrell. He was the owner of Harrell’s Backhoe Service, attended Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, was a past member of the Latta Rotary Club, and was previously employed at Dupont. He loved racing and helping others any way he could.

Surviving are his wife, Diane Harrell; a son, Arch (Tammy) Harrell of Irmo, SC; a daughter, Teresa (Andy) Hyatt of Dillon, SC; and six grandchildren, A.J. and Ryan Walsh, Brittany and A.J Hyatt, Greyson and Emma Harrell. He was predeceased by his sister, Chris Ivey.

Memorials may be made to Pleasant Grove Baptist Church building fund.
