Johnny Henry Byrd, 75, died Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at his residence.
Services were held 4 p.m. Friday at Fairview United Methodist Church with burial in the church cemetery directed by Cooper Funeral Home. Visitation was held 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Born in Dillon County, SC, July 13, 1937, he was the son of the late Pearl Harper Byrd. He was a member of Fairview United Methodist Church, and was a U.S. Marine Veteran.
Survivors include his wife, LeAnn Stone Byrd of Dillon; children, Flossie (William) Thompson of Bennettsville, William Altman of Dillon, Angela Altman of Cheraw, and Theresa (Michael) Herring of Dillon; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brother, Douglas Byrd of Dillon; and nieces and nephews.
Mr. Byrd was preceded in death by his first wife, Bonnie Jane Byrd.
