Marguerite Thames Davis, 76, died Monday, August 20, 2012, at her residence.
Funeral services will be held 5 p.m. Thursday in Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Greenlawn Cemetery. Visitation was 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Born in Hoke County, NC, October 4, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Hobb Thames and Minnie Cole Thames. She was retired from Dixiana Mills.
Survivors include her daughters, Kathy Grantham of Dillon, Debbie Harper, and Margaret (Virgil) Byrd both of Mullins; special granddaughter, Anita Barnhill, 14 special grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Linda Berry; sons, Larry Davis and Jimmy Davis; a special great-grandson, Judson Barnhill; and her life long companion, Thomas Sawyer.
