Grace Herring Etheridge, 76, died Saturday, September 22, 2012 at the McLeod Hospice House in Florence.
Memorial services will be held 3:00 p.m. Tuesday at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church with inurnment in Evergreen Cemetery Mausoleum directed by Cooper Funeral Home.
Born in Dillon County, SC, March 20, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Edith Addie Herring Carter. She was a member of St. Barnabas Episcopal Church where she was President of the Episcopal Church Women, and President of the Order of the Daughters of the King.
She was also Diocesan President of the Daughters of the King of the Diocese of South Carolina, and served many terms on the Mission Council of St. Barnabas Episcopal Church.
She was employed by Stanton Chiropractic for over 30 years, and Dillon Physician’s Healthcare, and was also a member of the Red Hat Society.
Survivors include her son, Walt Etheridge of Dillon; brothers, Phillip Carter of Hurt, VA, and Benjamin Carter of Summerville, SC.
Ms. Etheridge was preceded in death by her mother, Edith Carter; her daughter, Danielle Etheridge; her brother, Roger Herring; and a dear friend, Maxine Taber.
