Services for Lester J. Godwin will be held 3:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Dillon Church of God with entombment in Evergreen Cemetery Mausoleum directed by Cooper Funeral Home.  Visitation was held 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Mr. Godwin, 59, died Saturday, September 29, 2012 at McLeod Medical Center in Dillon.
Born in Lakeland, Florida and raised in Lake View, SC, he was the son of the late Lester Paul Godwin and Mary Black Godwin Turner.  He attended the Dillon Church of God.
Survivors include his wife, Carolyn B. Godwin of Dillon; children, Carmela (Rick) Huggins of Dillon, Paul Godwin, and Jason Brown, both of Dillon, and Lee ( Angela) Brown of Myrtle Beach; grandchildren, Luke & Lyndsie Godwin, Amanda Johnson, Brody Huggins, Savannah Kennedy, Scott Brown, and Sophie Brown; sisters, Clarice Richardson of Loris, and Addie Jernigan of Charleston.
Mr. Godwin was preceded in death by his sister, Pauline Bravo; and his brother, Dempsey Godwin.
