The Latta School Board of Trustees met for the regular monthly meeting on Tuesday, October 9, 2012 at 6:30 p.m. in the District Administration Conference Room.
Notices of the meeting were duly exercised and published per school board policy.
Trustees present were: Kyle Berry, Edward Bethea, Janice Boatwright, Linda James, Betty Jo Johnson and Kenneth Kitts. Eddie Watson was absent.
Chair Betty Jo Johnson welcomed all present and Dr. Kirby opened with prayer.
There being no additions or corrections on the September 11, 2012 minutes, Chair Johnson ruled that they stand approved.
Principal Dollie Morrell highlighted areas of the new 2012-13 Latta Early Childhood Center Kindergarten Report Card and the 2012-13 Latta Early Childhood Center First Grade Report cards will now reflect if the student is meeting the Grade Report Card.
Esther Rogers present the SAT scores.
The following updates were presented:
• Esther Rogers on special services
• Larry Legette on school facilities and transportation
• Theresa Rogers on food service
There being no further business, a motion was made by Edward Bethea and seconded by Kyle Berry to adjourn. Vote was unanimous.
