Dillon led Mt. Pleasant 6-0 at the half, but Mt. Pleasant tied things 6-6 with a touchdown pass in the third. Dillon made three interceptions and had a chance at touchdown interception but the pass was knocked down.
With 3:06 left in the game, Mt. Pleasant took over on downs and the Mt. Pleasant quarterback threw for a 44-yard gain. Mt. Pleasant’s Owen Bailey carried for five-yards and a touchdown on the next play, and Mt. Pleasant followed up with a successful two-point conversion to seal the win at 14-6.
Dillon’s All Stars finish with a 4-1 record as back-to-back lower state runner-ups.
