Dillon Christian’s Lady Warriors fell 42-25 to The King’s Academy Lions on Tuesday night at home in Dillon.

The Lady Lions took a 10-8 lead in the first quarter and outscored Dillon Christian 14-5, 10-6, and 8-6 in the remaining three to clinch the win.

Lauren Lee led the Lady Warriors with a game-high 13 points. Kylee Sullivan and Kathryn Brown each added five points and Amanda Bass scored two.

Addie Bokelman scored a team-high 12 points to lead The King’s Academy, with Anna van Baaren and Eliza Wilhoit each adding 10. Taylor Weatherford scored six for the Lady Lions, and Kellen Lott and Emily Parnell each scored two.

The boys also fell to the visiting Lions, but scores had not been reported at press time.

The Lady Warriors are now 1-5 in the regular season, while the Warriors are 1-6.

Dillon Christian will travel to face Marlboro Academy this Friday, December 14, with junior varsity action beginning at 4:00 p.m. It’s the last game of the year before the holiday break, so make plans to attend to support our local teams!
