Patricia Ann Boyd Horton, 52, died in the McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence, SC, Thursday, January 3, 2013. Funeral services was held 3:00 P.M., Sunday, January 6, 2013, at the Latta Presbyterian Church. Committal services will be held 3:00 P.M. Graveside in the First Presbyertian Church Cemetery in Clinton, SC, Monday, January 7, 2013. Visitation was held from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Saturday, Janury 5, 2013, at Kannaday Funeral Home in Latta, SC.
Mrs. Horton was born in Waynesboro, Georgia, April 6, 1960, the daughter of William J. Boyd, III and the late Coletha Burks Boyd. She was employed as a teller with First Federal in Florence for twenty-seven years. She loved reading and visiting the library. Her dream job recently became available as a manager of the Bookmobile with the Dillon County Library. She was also the secretary for the Latta Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by her husband Robert Coleman Horton of the home; son, Brett Michael Landis of Florence, SC; daughters, Amy Landis, of Florence, SC; step-daughters, Rebekah Ashley Horton and Racheal Joy Horton both of Flornce, SC; father, William J. Boyd, III and step-mother, Tommie V. Boyd of Plantation, FL; brother, William J. (Michelle) Boyd, IV of Summerville, SC; sisters, Catherine (Dan) Shea of Marion, NC, Elizabeth (Scott) Kellner of Greenwood, SC; step-sister, Kim (Dave) Vincentsen of Palm Beach, FL; and one grandchild, Kirby Elle Altman.
