Services for Melvin Keith Tarte will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Trinity Holiness Church of Gaddy’s Mill with burial in Lake View Cemetery directed by Cooper Funeral Home.  Visitation will be held 7-9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
     Mr. Tarte, 51, died Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at McLeod Medical Center in Dillon.
     Born in Dillon County, SC, March 15, 1961, he was the son of the late Joseph Carl Tarte and Lillie Harrelson Tarte.  He was employed by McCoy Construction, and was of the holiness faith.
     Survivors include his wife, Nancy Carter Tarte of Florence; children, Melanie Tarte of Springdale, AR, Tiffany (Jason) Ervin of Lake View, Brooks (Chelsea) Tarte of Pageland, SC, and Alex Clark of Dillon; step-son, Jonas Carter of Lancaster, PA; 3 grandchildren, Brooklyn Tarte, Colby Clark, and Malia Tarte; sisters, Ann (Rev. Ronnie) Cox of Sellers, Debbie (James) Wilkes of Latta, and Teresa (Steve) Willoughby of Nichols; brothers, Valton (Sharon)Tarte of Lake View, Billy Ray Tarte of Dillon, Rev. Charles (Patricia) Tarte of Lake View, and Wesley (Angie) Tarte of Fork.
