Maxine W. Hayes, 75, died Monday, February 4, 2013, at Carolinas Hospital System-Marion.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 P.M. Thursday in Trinity Holiness Church of Latta with burial in Greenlawn Cemetery directed by Cooper Funeral Home. Visitation was 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Born in Dillon County March 23, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Matthew Williams and Sudie Lambert Williams. She was a member of Trinity Holiness Church of Latta and was a homemaker.
She leaves to cherish fond memories, two daughters, Wanda (Tony) Christenburg of Catawba, SC and Sandy (Gerald) Powers of Hamer; son, Steve (Marie) Hayes of Dillon; brothers, Leon (Betty) Williams of Dillon, R.M. (Mary Kate) Williams of Clio, and D.J. (Cathy) Williams of Dillon; sisters, Shelby (Billy) Carter of Dillon, Estelle (Johnny) Simar of Louisiana, and Callie Allen of Dillon; grandchildren, Steve (Susie) Hayes of Latta, T.J. (Jamie) Christenburg, and Libby (Patrick) Howell both of Rock Hill, Bobby (Amanda) Hayes of Hamer, Jennifer Powers of Hamer and Troy (Beth) Powers; 10 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild; host of nieces, nephews, friends, and a loving church family.
Mrs. Hayes was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Hayes; parents, Matthew & Sudie Williams; and a brother, Donnell Williams.
