Virginia Church died at her home, Monday, February 4, 2013. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Thursday, February 7, 2013 at the First Baptist Church in Dillon, SC, with interment in Magnolia Cemetery in Latta, SC.
Visitation was held from 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at Kannaday Funeral Home in Dillon.
Mrs. Church was born in Marion County October 10, 1932, the daughter of the late Lide and Olivia Welch Bailey. She was the widow of Houston Church. She retired as a textile worker with Dixiana Mills and worked part time for several years at Eckerd’s Drug Store. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Dillon.
She is survived by her son, Michael W. Church of Dillon, SC; her daughters, Karen McKenzie (Dean) Lee of Hartsville, SC and Denise M. Watts of Dillon, SC; grandchildren, Brittany D. Watts and Laura Watts; and thirteen great grandchildren. She was predeceased by four sisters and three brothers.
