Services for Dorothy Tyler Powers will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Second Baptist Church with burial in Greenlawn Cemetery directed by Cooper Funeral Home.  Visitation was held 6:30-8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Powers, 86, died Monday, February 25, 2013 at Health South in Florence.
Born in Raines, SC, October 19, 1926, she was the daughter of the late James Tyler and Rosa Ella Hodges Tyler.  She was a member of Second Baptist Church, and was retired as the Cafeteria Manager at East Elementary School.
Survivors include her children, Frances P. Campbell of Dillon, Robert E. Powers of Georgetown, and Bonnie P. (Francis) Mills of Moncks Corner; 8 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild.
Mrs. Powers was preceded in death by her husband, James Carson Powers; and her daughter, Shirley Rose Powers.
