LATTA- Geneva Jones Lee, 85, died at the McLeod Regional Medical Center in Dillon, Thursday, February 28, 2013. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Saturday, March 2, 2013 at Latta Baptist Church with interment in Magnolia Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday, March 1, 2013 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Kannaday Funeral Home in Latta.

Mrs. Lee was born in Dillon, SC, January 2, 1928, the daughter of the late Charlie and Hattie Lee Morris Jones. She was the widow of Robert Morgan Lee. She taught the Primary Sunday School Class at the Latta Baptist Church for over fifty years and then joined the Harriett Dew Sunday School Class. She was also a member of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed gardening in her yard. She retired as the Secretary and Clerk for the Town of Latta.

She is survived by her son, Robert D. (Diane) Lee of Newberry, SC; her daughter, Vicki L. (Paul) Simerly of Hamer, SC; a sister, Mary Berry of Florence, SC; a grandchild, Ashley (Jamey) Guy of Greenwood, SC; a great grandchild, Reid Guy of Greenwood, SC; and a special friend and companion Brenda Scott.

She was predeceased by three brothers, Grady, Maxie, and Alton Jones and one sister, Evelyn J. Herring.
