Mrs. Barbara Bourgoin Cook, 53, died Thursday, March 14, 2013 at McLeod Medical Center of Florence.
A funeral service was held Sunday, March 17, 2013 at 3:00 pm at First Baptist Church of Lake View.  Burial will follow at Bear Swamp Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family received friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Saturday, March 16, 2013 at Cooke Funeral Home of Lake View.
Mrs. Cook was the daughter of the late Milton and Ruth Berry Bourgoin.  She was a member of the Church of the First Born.  She loved to read and knit, and especially enjoyed spending time with her family.
Surviving Mrs. Cook are her husband, Bobby Joel Cook of the home; sons, Eugene D. Allen and Brad K. Allen, both of Florence, SC; daughter, Bonnie K. Rowell (James) of Dillon, SC; brothers, Jimmy Bourgoin (Gale), Jerry Bourgoin (Brenda), Robbie Bourgoin (Sheila), and Ricky Bourgoin, all of Dillon, SC; sister, Joyce Carter (Ben) of Little Rock, SC; 8 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
Mrs. Cook was preceded in death by her brothers, Michael Bourgoin, Randy Bourgoin, Larry Berry; and sister, Ruth Hargrove.
