FF/EMT Woody Shelley, Captain Chip Rogers and Engineer Larry Lane recently passed the Firefighter II course.
They are shown with their Leather Helmets. They are now “Station Nine LEATHERHEADS”. The Firefighter II course is designed to take the student to the final level of firefighter as recognized by the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) and the International Fire Service Accreditation Congress (IFSAC).
Subjects include: incident management, building collapse, and special rescue, hose tools and appliances, hydrant flow and operability, fire detection and alarm systems, fire cause, pre-incidence planning, reports and communications and fire attack.
Upon successful completion of written and skills testing, these firefighters did receive international recognition as a Firefighter ll by IFSAC.
