Charles G. Hayes, Sr., 67, died Wednesday, April 17, 2013, at his residence after an illness.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Saturday in Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Hayestown Cemetery.  Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Born in Dillon, SC, April 30, 1945, he was the son of the late Wayman Hayes and Sudie Davis Hayes.  He was retired from the State of Connecticut after 25 years of service, and retired from the State of South Carolina after 13 years of service.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy L. Hayes of Dillon; children, Stacy Hayes Strickland, Joseph G. Hayes, Charles G. Hayes, Jr., and Cheryl Hayes Spaulding; grandchildren, Carly Ann Strickland, Corey Hayes, Courtney Hayes, Kevin, Shawn, Jessica, and Ian Loomis; brothers, Woodrow (Trudy) Hayes and Gene (Betty) Hayes.
Mr. Hayes was predeceased by his parents, Waymon & Sudie Hayes; and his brothers, W.J. Hayes and David Hayes.
