John David Quick, 88, died peacefully of natural causes on April 14.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Helen Anne Harris Quick; his two daughters, Leesa (Wayne) Iseman of Lake Murray, and Nancy (Frank) Cunnane of Greer; four grandchildren, J. Alex Coleman, Jennings Lee Coleman, James Rushton (Rush) Moody IV, and John Harris Moody; and one great grandson, Hayes William Coleman.
John served honorably in the US Navy during WWII, attended Presbyterian College and graduated from the National Academy of Broadcasting in Washington DC.
He began his 34 years of radio broadcasting in Conway, SC at WLAT, then moved to WDSC in Dillon, SC.
He was a member of Dillon First Baptist Church, an inductee of the Dillon High School Booster Club Hall of Fame, and was for many years the Voice of the Wildcats.
There will be a Visitation at 10 a.m. on Wednesday 4/17, followed by a Memorial Service at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church 400 North 4th Ave. Dillon, SC 29536. Please make Memorials to the First Baptist Church.
