Dwight Gregory Bedinger, Sr., age 66, of Latta, SC, died peacefully Tuesday, May 21, 2013, at the Hospice House of Florence. Born in Baytown, Texas, April 15, 1947, he was the son of the late Charles Bedinger and Audrey Tubbs Petrie.  He had been a resident of Latta since 1969.  Dwight was an active member of Latta Baptist Church and was a deacon and a leader in the church choir.  He was President of the Latta baseball youth program for 15 years.  He was a dedicated employee of Dillon Provision Company for over 43 years.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Gladys Usher Bedinger, and his son, Gregory (Sherri) Bedinger of Rhoadesville, VA, three grandsons, B.J. Mullins, Gregory Bedinger III, and Tanner Hayes Bedinger, and two brothers, Bryan Bedinger and Lynn (Tami) Bedinger of Texas.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Tonya Marie Bedinger, and his parents.Visitation will be held at Cooper Funeral Home on Thursday, May 23rd from 6-8 p.m. and the funeral service will be held at Latta Baptist Church on Friday, May 24 at 11 am with burial immediately following at Magnolia Cemetery in Latta.
