McLeod Medical Center Dillon is pleased to announce that Lucinda Stroud, RN, has been named Directors of the Adult and Pediatric Medical/Surgical Unit.
Lucinda has been in healthcare for 30 years and has been a registered nurse since 1987.
“I was hospitalized at the age of five. My nurse made a lasting impression. This experience played a major role in my decision to become a nurse. I wanted to help those that were sick,” said Lucinda.
In her new role, Lucinda will responsible for ensuring the safety of the patients, staff and visitors, overseeing the quality of care provided, encouraging team work within and across departments, and managing the day-to-day operations. Lucinda started her healthcare career at McLeod Dillon in 1990.
“I love my job at McLeod Dillon. I have been blessed to be affiliated with such a wonderful organization,” said Lucinda.
Nancy Barnes, AVP of Patient Services at McLeod Dillon, added, “Lucinda has contributed to patient care services through support of philosophy, objectives, policies and procedures as well as educational efforts.”
Lucinda has an Associate Degree in Health Science in 1987. She received her Critical Care Registered Nurse certification in 1994.
Lucinda is a native of Norfolk, VA.
She and her husband currently resident in Horry County. Lucinda enjoys swimming, boating, shopping and spending time with her family.
