On May 18, 2013, the 8U Dillon Diamond Backs won first place at the Top Gun May Day Xplosion in Latta, SC.

The Diamond Backs went undefeated on the day and defeated the Dixie Divas 9-3 in the championship game. The girls also received championship rings for first place. It was the Diamond Backs third championship of the year.
