Members of the Marion-Dillon Graduate, Mu Kappa Zeta Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. paid a sisterly love visit to Specialist Lyneshia M. Joseph at Fort Jackson Training Base in Columbia.
Specialist Joseph has been at Fort Jackson for the last few months for training. She is from the Virgin Islands and has no family in South Carolina. Dr. Felicia Scott-Strickland, Southeastern Regional Director for Zeta Phi Beta Sorority reached out to the South Carolina Chapters and encouraged them to embrace their visiting sister.
The Military Advisory Board of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority and the National Initiative Program Zeta Military Tracker urge Zetas to stay in contact with sisters who are in the military as they move and transition for duty.
The Marion-Dillon Chapter quickly embraced their military sister through calls and notes. Specialist Joseph invited her Blue and White Family to Family Day and Graduation. The chapter accepted and began initiating their signature program, “Sisterly Love Visit” and “Zeta Love Basket” to prepare for the visit.
Sisters visiting Specialist Joseph for Family Day were Victoria Belin, Nevada Stevenson, Josephine West and Alexandria Hunt from the USC Upstate and Myrtle Beach. Soror Monique Hancock was there to visit for the graduation the next day. Soror Joseph next assignment of duty is Fort Lee in Virginia.
