Ashley Rogers of Lake View won the Ladies division of the South Carolina Junior Golf Association’s Pee Dee Chapter Two Day Tour Championship which was held on Thursday, July 25, at Florence Country Club and Friday, July 26, at the Country Club of South Carolina.
Rogers had a two-day score of 171 to win the Ladies division with Kiana Baker of Florence shooting a 214 for second place.
With the win, Rogers will advance to the 2013 All Star tournament.
In the Ladies Mini Tour, Meredith Baxley of Florence shot a 137. Sophia Burnett of Florence led the Little Ladies with a 74 and Camila Burnett took second with a 103.
Michael Smith and Vance Burbage, both of Florence, each shot a 154 to lead the Tour Players division, with Nick Schuster of Florence shooting a 155 for third and Dillon’s Jim Carr shooting a 156 for fourth place.
In the Players division, Harrison Breeden of Florence shot a 150 for first place and max Holcombe of Timmonsville shot a 165 for second. In the Mini Tour, Rylee Goff of New Zion shot an 83 and Florence’s Gene Zeigler shot an 85 for second. Lake View’s Dylan Rogers shot a 102 to round out the seven-man championship tour.
In the Pee Wee’s Jay Smith of Florence shot an 89 for first while Florence’s Pake June shot a 97 for second.
The top two players in each division advanced to the All Stars: Smith and Burbage in the Tour Players (boys 15-18); Breeden and Holcombe in the Players division (boys 13-14); Goff and Zeigler in the Mini Tour (boys 10-12); and Smith and June in the Pee Wees (boys 8-9). In the girls divisions, Rogers and Baker will advance in the Ladies Tour (girls 14-18); Baxley will represent the Pee Dee in the Ladies Mini (girls 11-13); and Sophia Burnett and Camila Burnett both advance in the Little Ladies (girls 8-10).
The 2013 All Star tournament will be held at Seabrook Island Golf Club on Saturday, August 24, and Sunday, August 25.
