South Carolina Independent School Association Executive Director Larry Watt announced that Amanda Mussman, Head of School, Dillon Christian School, recently completed a two-day SCISA Heads’ Institute. “This is one of the many programs we offer our member-schools, and it gives school administrators who are new to SCISA schools the tools necessary to drive an independent school successfully through a year of operation,” Watt said. The institute offered training in a variety of tasks performed by heads of school on a daily basis. Topics such as leadership, time management, development, curriculum, athletics, enrollment legal requirements, risk management, organization stress, marketing, finances, facilities, faculty and parents were presented and discussed. “We appreciate Dillon Christian’s participation in our special training course for school heads, and we wish Ms. Mussman every success as the head of the school in the coming year,” Watt said.
