Services for Lamar Watson were held 3:00 p.m. Sunday at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Pyerian Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation was held 2:00-3:00 p.m. Sunday prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mr. Watson, 83, died Friday, February 14, 2014 at his residence.
Born in Dillon County, SC, October 4, 1930, he was the son of the late Robert and Hettie Watson. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and a farmer.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret M. Watson of Dillon; children, Anne (Russell) Wolanski of Dillon, Tim (Sandra) Watson of Latta, and James (Nancy) Watson of Dillon; grandchildren, Jessica (Derrick) Lattymer, Casey (Kimberly) Watson, Christopher (Jennifer) Watson, Jamie (Noah) Clarkson, David Watson, Jonathon Watson, and Rebecca Watson; great-grandchildren, Samantha Lattymer, Lucus & Kaylee Clarkson, and Abigail Watson; brothers, Bobby G. Watson and Joseph W. Watson, both of Dillon.
