Ben Ray Lucas, 65, died March 14, 2014 at McLeod Regional Medical Center Florence. Funeral services were held Monday, March 17, 2014, at 4:00 P.M. East Dillon Baptist Church with interment in Greenlawn Cemetery. Visitation was held Sunday, March 16, 2014, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Kannaday Funeral Home in Dillon.
Mr. Lucas was born in Harnett County NC, May 5, 1948, the son of the late James Cary and Myrtle Lucas. He retired as a self employed sign painter. He was a member of East Dillon Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife Nancy Bailey Lucas of the home; children, Marshann Lucas of NC, Junior Ray Lucas, Amanda Michelle Lucas, Tony Ray Lucas, and Jessica Bailey Lucas all of Dillon; grandchildren, Ashley Lucas and Presley McNeil; brother, Wilbert Lucas (Jean) of North Carolina; sisters, Caroline Lucas, Vicky Ammons (Stoney), Dorothy Faircloth (David), and Shirley Lucas Davis (David) all of North Carolina.
