The Dillon Christian School Warriors fell to the Trinity-Byrnes Titans in baseball action on Thursday, March 27, and Friday, March 28.

The Warriors hosted the Titans on Thursday night for a 14-8 loss in seven innings. The Titans took a 2-0 lead in the top of the first inning, but the Warriors pulled ahead with three runs in the bottom of the second. But the Titans added two runs in the top of the third and another in the fourth for a 5-3 lead.

The Warriors tried to close the gap with a run in the bottom of the fifth, and added two runs in the bottom of the sixth to pull ahead once again at 6-5. But the Titans broke loose for nine runs in the top of the seventh to put them ahead 14-6, and the Warriors could only manage two runs in the bottom of the inning to allow the Titans to retain the win.

Cameron Pease earned the win for the Titans, pitching all seven innings for 12 hits, eight runs, three earned runs, two walks, and eight outs.

Each team had 12 hits, with Taylor Jones leading the Titans, going 2-for-5 with two RBI and a triple. Bryson Davis went 2-for-5 with a triple, a double, and two RBI; Dalton Russell went 2-for-4 for four RBI with a double and three runs scored; and Conner Johnson went 2-for-4 with a RBI and three runs scored. Jake Thompson, Spencer Evans, and Pease each had one hit in the win, with Evans picking up two RBI.

On Friday, the Warriors traveled to Trinity-Byrnes for a 15-0 shut out in four innings. The Titans picked up four runs in the bottom of the first, seven in the second, and two each in the third and fourth for the win.

Dalton Russell earned the win on the mound, pitching all four innings and allowing just two hits and two walks while striking out six.

Trinity-Byrnes had 10 hits in the win, with Conner Johnson going 2-for-4 with two RBI and Thomas Rogers going 2-for-3 with a RBI. Bryson Davis and Taylor Jones each hit a triple for two RBI, and Dalton Russell, Jake Thompson, Spencer Evans, and Weston Lewis each singled.

The Warriors will be at Robert E. Lee Academy tonight at 6:00 p.m. and will host the Cavaliers on Friday at 5:30 p.m.
