Memorial services for Billy Gene Taylor were held 5:00 p.m. Saturday at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel.  Visitation was held 4-5 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home prior to the service.
Mr. Taylor, 67, died Friday, April 25, 2014 at McLeod Hospice House in Florence.
Born in Florence County, SC, December 10, 1946, he was the son of the late David Eugene Taylor and Margaret Goodwin Taylor.  He was retired from Superior Crane Company in Rockingham, NC, and was a U.S. Army 82nd Airborne veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Brenda Jackson Taylor of Latta; children, Sherry Taylor of Dillon, Amanda (Randy) Herring of Marion, Gandy (Clif) Rogers of Hilton Head, and Robin Jackson of Latta; 7 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; brother, Robbie (Eileen) Taylor of Danielsville, PA.
Mr. Taylor was preceded in death by his brother, David Taylor.
