Services for Major Manning Taylor were held 3:00 p.m. Sunday at Latta Baptist Church with burial in Magnolia Cemetery. Visitation was held 6-8 p.m. Saturday at Cooper Funeral Home.
Mr. Taylor, 88, died Friday, June 20, 2014 at his residence.
Born in Dillon County, SC, September 16, 1925, he was the son of the late Jason Taylor and Nellie Long Taylor. He was a member of Latta Baptist Church, a U.S. Army Veteran, and the retired owner of NAPA Parts Store. He was the widower of the late Ada Lane Taylor.
Survivors include his sons, Ronald L. (Brenda) Taylor, and Frankie (Donna) Taylor, both of Latta; 4 grandchildren, Lindsey (Ross) Rogers, Jordan Taylor, Niki Harris, and Stephani (Aaron) Miles; 3 great-grandchildren, Brennon Miles, Fisher Rogers, and Connor Miles.
