Services for Christine Carter Morris will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with burial in Greenlawn Cemetery directed by Cooper Funeral Home.  Visitation will be held 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
     Mrs. Morris, 87, died Monday, July 7, 2014 at McLeod Medical Center in Dillon.
     Born in Marion County, SC, May 4, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Mike Carter and Bertha Christmas Carter.  She was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, and was a homemaker.  She was the widow of the late Leon Walter Morris.
     Survivors include her daughter, Brenda M. Harrelson of Dillon; son, Leon T. Morris (Janice) of Dillon; 6 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren.
     Mrs. Morris was preceded in death by her children, Joan Rebecca Morris and Ronald David Morris.
