Mrs. Hazel Cook Barney, 89, was received into the arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, August 2, 2014.
Mrs. Barney was the daughter of Madison Cook and Eliza Hill Cook of Lake View, SC.  She is preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, one sister, and beloved husband, Ralph S. Barney.
She is survived by her sister, Ann Butler of Fayetteville, NC; six children, OC Rogers and his wife Margie of Jacksonville, NC, Lillian Littlefield and husband Dan of Shelby, NC, Tim Rogers and wife Lesa of Woodruff, SC, Robbie Rogers and wife Karen of Montmorenci, SC, William Rogers and wife Jolene of Virginia Beach, VA and Barbara Jean McMahon of Florida; 12 grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at Cooke Funeral Home, 202 N. Main Street, Lake View  on Tuesday, August 5, 2014 from 6:30 to 7:30 pm.  A funeral service will be held Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at 11:00 am at Bear Swamp Baptist Church, 541 N. Bear Swamp Rd, Lake View, SC.  The Reverend David Anderson will be officiating.  Burial will follow at Bear Swamp Baptist Church Cemetery.
