Services for Mary Frances Taylor Tyler were held 3:00 p.m. Sunday at First Baptist Church with burial in Riverside Cemetery directed by Cooper Funeral Home. Visitation was held 6-8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Tyler, 81, died Thursday, July 31, 2014 at the Pines Nursing Home.
Born in Dillon County, SC, October 22, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Luther Thomas Taylor and Mamie Cook Taylor. She was a member of First Baptist Church, and was the widow of the late Andrew Tyler.
Survivors include her children, Judy Wyman of Dillon, Brenda Russ Jones of Dillon, George Milton Russ, Jr. of Hope Mills, NC, Terry Russ Cox of Dillon, Denise Russ Hutto of Mullins, and Leslie David Russ of Dillon; 19 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Eula Mae “Jill” Nelson of Dillon; brother, Jerry L. Taylor of Dillon.
Mrs. Tyler was preceded in death by her son, Thomas Eugene Russ; brothers, Luther Edward “Bo” Taylor and Bobby D. Taylor; and sister, Margaret Diana Vallejos.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation.
