Memorial services for Sandra Elaine Shipes Thompson will be held 6:00 p.m. Tuesday at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel.

Ms. Thompson, 68, died Sunday, November 9, 2014 at the McLeod Hospice House in Florence.

Born in Ridgeland, SC, June 20, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Heyward Shipes and Clara Lightsey Shipes. She was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, and was a Dillon County 911 Dispatcher.

Survivors include her son, Jay (Becky) Thompson of Florence; daughter, Christi (Jaden) Daniels of Little River; 8 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; sister, Susan Spence of Tignall, GA.
