Florence Christian’s Lady Eagles soared to a 58-20 win over the Warriors on Friday, December 19, at Dillon Christian School.
The Eagles took an uncontested 22 point lead in the first quarter, and lead 31-5 at the half. Florence outscored the Lady Warriors 27-15 in the second half to seal the win.
Samantha Carpenter scored a team-high 15 points for the Lady Warriors. Madison King added three points and Sara Bass earned two.
The Eagles were led by Kirsten Dougherty with a game-high 22 points, 10 rebounds, and six assists. Kacey Medlin added 16 pints and picked up 10 rebounds; Brown added six points; S. Medlin, 4; Stewart, 4; Warner, 2; Bochette, 2; and Drummond, 2.
The Lady Eagles improved to 4-3 and 1-0 in the region while the Lady Warriors remained winless on the season.
Dillon Christian will return to action on Tuesday, January 6, at home to host Trinity-Byrnes Collegiate with junior varsity action beginning at 4:00 p.m. and varsity action following after.
