Many thanks to all who supported this year’s annual toy and food drive held by The Dillon Herald and East Dillon Baptist Church.
Due to the donations of toys, food, and money, this year’s drive turned out to be the best yet.
All of the money we received was spent at stores in Dillon County. Many thanks to the cashiers who were helpful and nice with the large loads of items that were purchased at one time, to customers who waited patiently as these items were rung up and to some who helped with carts, held doors, or tried to help in some other way, and to police officers who were in the area as we loaded and unloaded the numerous items bought with your monetary donations. Your help, patience, and kindness were greatly appreciated.
Last but not least, thanks to all of those people who went out and purchased items and dropped them by The Dillon Herald office or East Dillon Baptist Church. Your efforts and your support of this drive is so greatly appreciated.
We would not have been able to help 87 families and 240 children without those who donated or contributed in some way or another. You made Christmas bright for so many people.
Again, thank you, and let’s try to help even more people next  year.
