The McLeod Health Foundation awarded more than $1.5 million in grants in 2014 in its ongoing mission to advance health education, patient and family support services, medical research, and infants’ and children’s health.
The McLeod Foundation is separately chartered and governed by a volunteer board of trustees.
The Foundation raises charitable funds, manages and invests charitable funds, and grants charitable gifts to grow healthier communities through private philanthropy in partnership with the myriad organizations that are part of McLeod Health.
Locally, the Cardiac Rehabilitation Program at McLeod Dillon was also granted funding for patient scholarships.
Through the scholarships, financially challenged patients are able to attend and receive valuable cardiac monitoring and daily blood pressure and pulse monitoring while completing a specialized exercise routine.
Several others grants were awarded throughout the region.
