Services for Marvin Woodrow Richardson were held 3:00 p.m. Saturday in Cooper Funeral Home Chapel.  Visitation washeld 2:00-3:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mr. Richardson, 89, died Wednesday, January 7, 2014 at Pruitt Health at The Pines in Dillon.
Born in Dillon, SC, October 10, 1925, he was the son of Norwood Richardson and Eunice Mae Keith Richardson.  He was a U.S. Army Veteran, having served in World War II, and was a member of the SC National Guard.
Survivors include his son, Russell (Beverly) Richardson of Florence; brother, Travis (Sally) Richardson of Charleston; nieces and nephews.
Mr. Richardson was preceded in death by his wife, Josie Edna Caddell Richardson; brothers, David Richardson, Roy Richardson and Lester Richardson; and his sister, Irene Richardson Tyler.
The family would like to deeply thank the nurses of United Hospice of the Pee Dee and all of the loving caregivers and personnel at Pruitt Health at the Pines for the excellent care given to Mr. Richardson during his stay there.
