The Lake View Chapter of Young Farmers held its inaugural meeting on January 26, 2015, in the Lake View High School Cafeteria. The LVYF President, William Scott, was presented with a charter from Mr. Gilbert Lewis, LVHS Agriculture Teacher and FFA Advisor. Dinner for the event was provided by Coastal Agro Business. Mr. Ricky Williams of the South Carolina Trappers Association was the guest speaker and provided an educational and informative presentation on trapping wild animals such as beavers and coyotes. Sponsored by the Lake View High School Agriculture Department, the Lake View Young Farmers is an organization for out-of-school young people who are engaged in agriculture. It is also designed to aid interested adults through systematic and organized educational programs on agriculture and agribusiness. The group plans to meet the last Monday of each month at 6:00 p.m.
