Services for Ruthie Lovette Currin will be held 4:00 p.m. Tuesday at Beulah Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Visitaiton will be held 7-8 p.m. Monday at Cooper Funeral Home.
Mrs. Currin, 88, died Monday, March 2, 2015 at the Carolina’s Hospital System in Marion.
Born in Dillon County, SC, May 15, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Ben Lovette and Celia Gray Lovette. She was a member of Beulah Baptist Church, and was the widow of the late Franklin (Frank) Currin who died in 2000. Mrs. Ruthie was a kind, gentle, and generous woman who loved God and His family. She was loved, and will be greatly missed. She was the last survivor of her immediate family.
Survivors include her niece, Helen (James) Gough of West Palm, Florida, nephews, Randy Williamson and Danny Williamson of Ocean Springs, MI, and Gary Lovette, Jr.; great-niece, Barbara Cayton.
Mrs. Ruthie was preceded in death by her sisters, Helen Williamson Hunter, and Eva Gasque; brothers, Gary Lovette, Buck Lovette, and Woodrow Jackson.
