Mr. Richard Ammons died Thursday, April 16, 2015 at McLeod Medical Center of Florence after an illness.
 
A funeral service will be Saturday, April 18, 2015 at 2:00 pm at Lake View First Baptist Church with burial to follow at Lake View Cemetery.  The family will receive friends Friday, April 17, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Cooke Funeral Home of Lake View.
 
Mr. Ammons was born September 7, 1954 in Mullins, SC, the son of the late Allen and Alice (Mildred) Cooke Ammons.
 
Mr. Ammons is survived by his wife, Janet; 2 sons, Brian Ammons (Crystel) and Kevin Ammons (Melissa); a brother, Bobby Ammons; 3 sisters, Rosalie Watts, Linda Potts, and Diane Chosen; 5 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
