SkillsUSA offers many opportunities for growth through competitions. There are many competition opportunities available through SkillsUSA membership.
On March 27, 2015, Marcus Maxwell and Patrick Rowe entered the SkillsUSA competition that was held in Greenville SC at the TD Convention Center. Marcus is a second year student in Masonry and he placed 6thout of 27 students and Patrick is a second year student in Auto Mechanic and he placed 4th out of 35 students,
Students can compete at the local or state level. State winners go on tonthe national competition: The SkillsUSA Championships in Louisville, Ky. Other contests include the WorldSkills Competition, the opportunity to design the National Leadership and Skills Conference Pin and the chance to have your photography published in SkillsUSA Champions magazine.
